PROTESTERS LIGHTLY WOUND POLICE OFFICER, SET TRASH CANS ON FIRE OVER HAREDI DRAFT LAW IN JERUSALEM

Protesters demonstrated against the draft of ultra-Orthodox yeshiva students in Jerusalem on Sunday night, Israeli media reported.

As a result, a police officer was lightly injured when a rock was thrown at her head, though media reports stated that she did not require medical treatment.

Demonstrators also reportedly burnt trash cans in violation of the law, and police officers worked to disperse the protesters.
