ESCAPE TO THE COUNTRY BUYER IN TEARS BEFORE SAYING 'IT'S GONE HORRIBLY WRONG'

Escape to the Country's property hunter Joey seemed to have found the task a little overwhelming during a recent episode aired on Friday afternoon on BBC. Living in her one-bedroom flat near an airport, Joey found herself desiring greener, quieter surroundings.

Before the search had even started, it was noticeable that Joey was moved by the very idea of finally finding tranquillity. Her friend Sandra acknowledged: "You've been dreaming about this for a long time but it's suddenly happening, have you had a chance to think what you're going to be like living here?"

Emotions ran high as Joey couldn't hold back her tears, with Sandra revealing that this wasn't out of the ordinary for her.

Alistair appeared ready for a challenging quest ahead upon learning that Joey had never embarked on property hunting before.

Joey was rendered speechless and teary-eyed at the sight of the first property they visited. It seemed to hit the right note straight away as she admitted to liking it instantly.

The tears didn't stop there, with more trickling down as Joey stepped inside the house, confessing to the BBC presenters that it was exactly what she had in mind.

Before tour the next property, Alistair asked: "Do you think Wiltshire is the place?", reports the Express.

To which Joey confirmed: "I think so, definitely. What you've shown me, is just everything that I'm looking for."

Alistair couldn't help but chuckle as the buyer started tearing up before they'd even visited the next place. Joey chimed in: "I know! It's all gone horribly wrong!" Upon being asked if something was holding her back, the buyer admitted there was.

Joey explained that while she had initially fallen in love with a place, some issues arose after she applied a stricter lens.

But then, it was Joey's turn to get emotional as she laughingly admitted: "I must be the worst person for crying!"

As the episode wrapped up, Joey revealed she wasn't ready to commit to any of the houses Alistair had shown, despite the whirlwind of emotions during the house hunt.

She confessed: "I've never been through anything like this before, it's the first time I've ever seen any properties."

"Each property has had something different. They've all had something for me to think about."

Wrapping up the episode, Alistair let viewers know that Joey would carry on searching for her dream home, stating that her top priority going forward would be finding the perfect garden.

Escape to the Country is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
