ALDERNEY CHILDREN TO SHOWCASE ISLAND'S HISTORY FOR KING
Schoolchildren from Alderney will perform a recital showcasing the island's history, charity sector and environmental work to King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The children will be among a delegation of 36 people making the journey to Guernsey by sea on the day of the royal visit.
They will be joined by representatives from the States and Court of Alderney, a representative of Alderney's frontline services and members of charities and organisations from the island.
Alderney's States said the delegation had been invited to "showcase the very best of Alderney in Guernsey" at a ceremony at Les Cotils.
It said it was only able to take 36 people because of "logistical issues" but anyone from Alderney who made their own way there would be welcome to join the delegation and there would be "an area where they can view proceedings".
It said the States of Guernsey's Facebook live stream would also be shown at Island Hall for those without internet access who wanted to see the event.
